The weather was great with only light winds to contend with. We had a good turnout with 15 competitors (9 Piston and 6 Pre-charge). Many of the competitors came from out of the area to shoot: Alan Ackerman, Art Burciaga, Jeff Carmello, Terry Eannetta, Chet Tussey, Jim Poh, John Knapp, and Randy Wagoner. Three were first time FT competitors. Part-time local, Vince Pacheco, brought Alan Ackerman as a new shooter. Terry brought Chet as a new shooter. Randy, also new to FT, drove over this morning from Bakersfield. All did well for their first match on what ended up as a very tough course.

We included a couple more far lanes but kept all of the small reducers. Only five of the targets had full size KZ's and three of those were on the standing and kneeling lanes. I plan on removing the reducers from seven more targets on the next match. That should bump the scores up a little.

A number of the competitors were experimenting with new equipment, new rifles, different classes, and new positions. It was a fun way to kick off the 2015 FT schedule. There was a big springer turnout with Jeff Carmello besting the entire field, including all PCP shooters.
